The river winds through vale and glade
Its song a hymn both bright and staid
It carries whispers soft and low
Of lives its touched of hearts that grow
Each current bends each ripple sings
A melody of transient things
Though swift its flow it always gives
A lesson clear: to drift is to live
Its waters kiss both stone and sand
A bond unbroken hand in hand
It shows that every course though wild
Will find its sea serene and mild
So trust the rivers ceaseless flight
Through morning haze and starless night
For every stream no matter small
Holds all of life within its call
