Becca Langsford is a young vocalist with the rare ability to sing the blues with total conviction! Still only 21 years old, she displays a deep maturity as a singer. Becca comes from a strong musical background; her father played harmonica with Plymouth-based band ‘The Legal Eagles’ and her brothers are all musicians with direct links to blues and roots music. Being raised on the likes of Taj Mahal, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin has given her an early insight into blues, soul and gospel music. No stranger to live performance, Becca has been singing at concerts and family gatherings for as long as she can remember. In 2008 she was invited to sing onstage by virtuoso blues guitarist/vocalist, Vince Lee and his band, The Big Combo. Becca sings backing vocals on the ‘soon to be released’ 2nd Big Combo album and is currently working with Vince on a full set of material. She has also recorded with 'Head of Programmes', internationally acclaimed blues and roots band 'The Wildcards', London-based band 'The King Blues' (whom she was also invited to perform onstage with), as well as with her brother Thomas Ford. Becca performs regularly with his band 'The Dirty Harmonys'. 2010 will see Becca recording her debut album with Vince Lee...watch this space! .... Reviews... ....
