On September 3 of 2010 The Dean's List released their first mixtape Undeclared. They received positive reviews for being motivated and talented individuals who strive to make good music. They went on to release The Drive In on February 26 of 2011. Their next mixtape, titled Generation X, was released on April 3, 2012 from aveNUE Music Partnerships, a subsidiary of the NUE Agency. They have already released a song from the album called Youth.
